A week without Instagram

At the start of the year I logged out of Instagram for what I thought would be a day but I ended up not being on it for a week. Below are my some of my thoughts:

Over the past week I was reminded of the power of familiarity.

One of the things that keeps us on Instagram regularly is stories. The feed will always be there but the stories are only there for a day. And so if you take a 24hour break there are things you’ve totally missed out on.

And when you’re logged in, missing out feels meaningful but once you log out you remember that it’s actually pretty meaningless.
