When you’re going through the deep depths of working through it, some lessons are easier than others.
Some lessons you accept and embrace but other lessons are a lot more challenging so you resist.
You avoid doing the work the way you know that you should. And so the issue remains.
There’s a well known quote that says what you resist persists. I think sometimes we’re unable to learn lessons because we aren’t willing to face them. And so, the problem stays with us until we are.
Then, when you are ready to face it you have the opportunity to figure out how to get through it.
It becomes much less difficult when you’re willing to embrace what it requires from you. Then suddenly the difficult lesson just becomes an interesting problem to solve.
