What does the moment call for?

Some issues are born out of stubbornness or resistance and you might not even realise it.

Maybe you’re someone that is naturally quiet and reserved. Let’s say you find yourself in a situation that requires you to be loud, be seen and speak up. Instead of being flexible and meeting the need of the time*, you decide to stick to your ways and a problem arises.

The issue isn’t that you can’t speak up, it’s that you won’t because you’re not willing to change in the moment. You might be so attached to the idea of who you are and the kinds of things you do and don’t do that you end up restricting yourself.

So, when the moment calls for something different, you feel like it’s not authentic to who you are and you resist by defaulting to your usual ways.

But the moment is calling for flexibility. It’s calling for you to show up, assess the moment and act accordingly.
