Focus on getting it done and then focus on doing it well. Too often we make the mistake of thinking that we can’t start until we’re perfect. Maybe you think you need more information, more equipment, the latest equipment or you need to become an expert. Seth Godin would probable describe this as ‘hiding’ and I’d agree.
Instead of focusing on trying to be perfect right away, focus on doing the work. Today you might be below average but in a few weeks time you’ll be a little better. Hopefully, a few years from now you’ll be pretty good.
