I recently watched a video and found myself in the comments to see how my opinion of the content compared with others.
The general gist was that it wasn’t informative which I agreed with.
But then I realised that I was misunderstanding the content. The purpose was not to inform but to entertain.
It was meant to be surface level entertainment rather than a deep dive with reputable informed opinions.
And once I viewed it through the lense of purely entertainment, I realised that it was pointless to expect anything more.
I couldn’t view it as bad content because it wasn’t informative, it wasn’t supposed to be. It would be like complaining that savoury pancakes aren’t sweet or that a comedy show isn’t serious.
