I find that often it is in the things we may perceive to be simple or insignificant that we have major life breakthroughs or they become real turning points when our mindsets are shifted.
Something as simple as catching up with old friends, getting lunch, talking about life and laughing. A day spent doing those things can be enough to refresh you after feeling blue because sometimes, all you need is that feeling of comfort and familiarity.
From my own experiences I think that perhaps it is laughter that has the most impact.
Without getting into the science of it, laughing makes us feel good and sometimes that’s enough to shift your mood entirely.
